Our Cross Bottles are made from remnants of chandeliers which once bejeweled the ceilings of places now lost to time. We use found antique bottles, many that date back to the mid 1800s -- some may be donned in mesmerizing patinas, some stamped with lettering from the past -- but all show beautiful signs of both time and the elements in varying degrees. We seek out the most interesting vessels and embellishments, including antique silver, altar style candlesticks, antique leather bottles from Italy and Spain, unearthed stones and artifacts, place them alongside hand-selected new items --we then join them forever within a rustic, sculptural application of solder, which we wash in the faded, time-worn hues of weathered iron and tarnished pewter.
